Our Story

Welcome to AngoraCraft – where a lifelong love of yarn, nature, and handmade tradition come together.
My passion for knitting and crocheting started as far back as I can remember. I was still in primary school when I made my first vest. My mum saw how serious I was and surprised me with beautiful mohair wool. She showed me how to shape necklines and sleeves and helped adjust the pattern to fit me as I grew.
I finished that jumper with so much pride—and I’ll never forget the moment my older sister (seven years my senior!) asked if she could wear it to a party. That simple request lit a spark in me that never faded.
Later, I learned to knit socks using five double-pointed needles—an exciting challenge that deepened my love for the craft. Through every season of life—university, marriage, raising a family—my knitting needles and crochet hook were never far away.
But I always had one lingering question in the back of my mind:
Where does our wool come from? How is it really made?
In 2020, during the lockdown, I finally had the time to explore that question—and that’s when a new chapter began.
We welcomed our first two angora rabbits, Sky and Rebel, into our home. In July 2021, Snowy joined them, and our little wooly family began to grow.
Caring for these gentle, intelligent animals deepened my respect for sustainable, cruelty-free fibre production. I began learning basic carpentry to build nest boxes and later, spacious, cosy hutches—all designed with their wellbeing in mind.
Today, AngoraCraft is not just about handmade knits—it's about slow living, conscious creation, and knowing exactly where our materials come from. Every item I craft carries a piece of this journey: the love of traditional techniques, the joy of raising angora rabbits, and the belief that beauty starts with kindness.
Thank you for being here and supporting handmade.
